Jeremy is Cummi, Sioux, and Apache Indian, born on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona. He has been living and participating in the Hozhoni Foundation in Flagstaff since he was 9 years old. Jeremy is a very keen observer of nature and his environment. He enjoys the outdoors and going for walks around Flagstaff. Since Jeremy joined the art program he has shown a strong interest in painting people, cityscapes, clouds, bridges, animals and windows. He enjoys using acrylic paints, pens, and pencils in his creations. His mixed media paintings and drawings have been exploring the theme of flight. Birds, kites, flying pigs, airplanes, and balloons are frequently used symbols. Jeremy has displayed his artwork in group shows around Arizona, and internationally. In 1998, Jeremy’s work was featured on a banner and t-shirt advertising the Oktoberfest in Flagstaff. His paintings have been reproduced for exhibition posters and prints.
