Congratulations to Hozhoni’s New Media Class! Premiering the short film “Monday Blues” at the Durango International Film Festival on February 28th at the Gas Light 1 Theater, and with an encore showing the following Saturday at The Animas City Theater. The trip and film was a great success!
Media Class Instructors Shay Vigil and Travis Williams, with Hozhoni Artists Gennievie Parrish and Morgan Blackgoat, made the journey from Flagstaff to Durango to attend the Saturday Premiere. Terrill, the star of our short movie, also travelled to be at the Premiere. This film was shown as part of the “shorty cuts” Native American cinema program.
The clients and instructors were thrilled to be apart of the annual film festival, being able to see their respective performances in large screen format, and sharing the stage with other filmmakers. Thank you for all the hard work, time, and love that was put into this film and wonderful effort! We are excited to see more of what our inspired artists are capable of in New Media!
