Native Artists Cross Country Weaving Project
Ricky Bearghost, Morgan Blackgoat, Miranda Delgai, Delphine Dial, and Jefferson Dorton
The collaboration started with Ricky Bearghost, an artist working out of the Portland Art and Learning Studio. Ricky contacted the Hozhoni Art Gallery with the idea to do a collaborative weaving with other indigenous artists with disabilities. Ricky created the loom and started the weaving, then mailed it to us where our artists took turns working on it.
Unfortunately, this collaborative project was put on hold, as our day program had to temporarily close. We look forward to finishing the project once all our artists have returned to the day program.
